Full-time students will brainstorm, plan, and complete a final capstone project during the last six weeks of their time at Epicodus. The capstone project coincides with the React course. The goal of the capstone is to create a portfolio-ready project which you'll be able to add to your resume, share with potential employers, and show off to friends and family!
Note: If you are a part-time student, you will not be on the same timeline as full-time students. Check with your instructor about capstone timing and expectations.
Week 15 (Week 1 of React): Learn about the MVP (Minimum Viable Product) and begin brainstorming capstone ideas.
Week 16 (Week 2 of React): Begin working on your capstone proposal.
Week 17 (Week 3 of React): Turn in your capstone proposal. Your instructors will review your proposal and give feedback as needed.
Week 18 (Week 4 of React): For your Friday independent project, you will spend the day working on your capstone project.
Week 19 (Week 5 of React): Instead of having an independent project on Friday, you will have the day to work on your capstone.
Week 20 (Week 6 of React): You will spend the final week of class working on your capstone. On Thursday morning of that week, you will present your capstone project to classmates and then turn it in as your final independent project.
